Every public school should have the resources needed for each student to reach their full potential. This belief is at the heart of the Linda and Douglas (LAD) Foundation. Appreciation and unconditional love for Jamaica are why we focus on its students who are the country's present and future. Douglas Walker fathered 6 children in Jamaica beginning in the 1930s: Linton, Joy, Lurline, Glenda, Lena, and Winsome. Each benefitted from a quality education and passed the value of education on to their children. Today, investment in education is Douglas Walker’s legacy. Named after Douglas Walker and his wife Linda, the goal of the LAD Foundation is to provide services, resources, and financial support to advance the quality of public education in Jamaica. Douglas Walker’s descendants are the founding members.
