Our board of directors have three primary legal duties: duty of care, duty of loyalty, and duty of obedience.

Duty of Care: Our board of directors take care of the LAD foundation by ensuring prudent use of all assets. Board members actively participate in board meetings and work collaboratively to advance the Foundation’s mission and goals. They are also responsible for strategic planning and achieving our foundation’s short- and long-term goals.

Duty of Loyalty: Our board of directors ensure that all LAD Foundation activities and transactions are, first and foremost, advancing our mission. All actions and decisions of our board are in the best interest of the LAD Foundation, not the best interest of any individual board member (or any other individual or for-profit entity).

Duty of Obedience: Our board of directors ensure that the LAD foundation obeys applicable laws and regulations, follows LAD foundation bylaws, and adhere to our mission.
